According to a note in these records an Ala. legislative act of 1833 Jan. 9 authorized the Ala. This volume consists of the translated and transcribed records recorded by Joseph E. Caro from 1840 Mar. 3 to 1841 Mar. 20. The records cover the years 1715 to 1812 and provide much useful information concerning private land claims in the Mobile area and the problems of British, French and Spanish land grants.
